Waypoint Mutual, previously known as Midwest Builders Casualty Group, undertook a renovation and expansion of their headquarters at 1111 Main to support significant organizational growth and an evolving workplace culture. The project was reimagined into a flexible and inviting environment, designed to enhance collaboration and employee experience.
The new layout balances open work areas with private offices, conference rooms, and shared amenity spaces, creating a dynamic workplace that supports both focused work and team interaction. Thoughtful planning allowed the organization to grow within its existing footprint while reinforcing Waypoint Mutual’s refreshed brand identity. The result is a welcoming, future-ready headquarters that reflects the company’s evolution and positions them for continued success.
My role was the lead interior designer for the Waypoint Mutual headquarters renovation and expansion, guiding the project from initial concept through completion. Inspired by the company’s roots as an insurance provider for Midwest construction companies, the design celebrates the brand’s history through the use of raw, authentic materials including wood, steel, and natural stone. The client placed great trust in our design vision, allowing for creative exploration to craft a distinctive, engaging workplace that reflects the company’s identity while supporting its growth and evolving workplace needs.
