Design Philosophy | About Me

I believe design holds the power to shape culture, behavior, and long-term value when approached with care, intention, and responsibility. My design approach is grounded in the idea that great spaces are not simply created; they are guided into existence through listening, clear design vision, and thoughtful stewardship at every stage of the process.

With 15 years of interior design experience across workplace, sports venues, and community-focused projects, I am driven to achieve design excellence on every project I lead. I guide teams by connecting people, purpose, and place, viewing each project as a system of relationships—between client goals and user needs, architecture and interior experience, creativity and constructability. My role is to hold that complexity, distill it into a clear design narrative, and lead teams toward solutions that are both elegant and enduring.

I prioritize design that is human-centered, adaptable, and rooted in longevity rather than trend. From early client engagement through construction and final detailing, I am deeply involved in shaping not only the outcome, but the process itself—ensuring that design intent is protected, elevated, and executed with rigor. I believe that leadership in design means setting a high bar, mentoring teams to reach it, and creating the conditions for collaborative excellence.

At its best, design creates belonging and connection. My work is driven by a commitment to creating environments people are drawn to—spaces that support how we work, gather, and grow—while quietly standing the test of time.

JE Dunn Headquarters Headquarters

Project Completion: 2025

Serving as Project Lead and primary client contact, I led the design and delivery of JE Dunn’s headquarters renovation, shaping the overall vision, narrative, and workplace strategy. My role included shaping the project from the very beginning stages, through completion, including space planning, floor plan and rendering development, furniture selection, and guiding the project from concept through construction to ensure the design intent was carried through every detail. The comprehensive renovation balanced respect for the existing architecture with a hospitality-focused, timeless design approach, introducing new amenities, enhanced collaboration spaces, and a reimagined lobby, work café, and indoor–outdoor gathering areas to strengthen connection and culture. The project leveraged existing structural elements and adaptable systems while prioritizing sustainable strategies, including extensive material reuse, furniture refurbishment, and energy-efficient upgrades.
