The Ryan Field project is a brand-new, 740,000 SF collegiate football stadium designed to elevate the game-day experience for fans, student-athletes, and the broader community. Replacing the century-old facility, the new 35,000‑seat stadium features improved sightlines, premium club spaces, open plazas, and community greenspaces, all thoughtfully planned to maximize accessibility and user experience. Concourse layouts, circulation, and amenity planning prioritize fan engagement, year-round community activation, and sustainability, with the facility targeting LEED Gold certification and incorporating over 200,000 SF of outdoor gathering zones. Construction is underway, with the stadium scheduled to open during the 2026 football season, establishing a modern, iconic centerpiece for Northwestern athletics and campus life.
My role as the Senior Interior Designer for Ryan Field through the Design Development phase, establishing the overall design concept and storytelling narrative for the stadium while leading the planning and design of premium club environments, fan amenities, and player spaces. Developed interior floor plans, circulation strategies, and conceptual sketches that translated vision into buildable design and informed high-quality renderings of the club spaces, shaping the elevated game-day experience for fans, student athletes, and the community.
